ClearReport Health Private Limited ("ClearReport", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the ClearReport iOS application ("App").
ClearReport is designed with privacy at its core. Our fundamental principle is simple: your medical data belongs to you, not to us.
By using ClearReport, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information We Collect
Information you do not provide to us
We do not collect, store, or transmit your medical reports, scan images, or health data to our servers. When you scan a report, the image is processed locally on your device and through Anthropic's Claude AI model. The report content is not retained by ClearReport after processing is complete.
Information we may collect automatically
We may collect limited technical information to operate and improve the App, including:
- App version and operating system version
- Device type and screen resolution (anonymised)
- Crash reports and error logs (containing no personal or health data)
- Number of scans used in the current billing period (stored locally on device only)
Subscription and payment information
If you subscribe to ClearReport Pro, all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. ClearReport Health Private Limited does not receive, store, or process your payment card details, billing address, or any financial information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs how your payment information is handled.
Information you provide voluntarily
If you contact us via email at developer@clearreport.health, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the ClearReport App
- Identify and fix technical issues and bugs
- Understand how the App is being used in aggregate to improve performance
- Respond to your support requests and enquiries
- Comply with legal obligations applicable to us in India
We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes. We do not build profiles based on your health data.
AI Processing
ClearReport uses Anthropic's Claude AI model to analyse your medical reports and generate plain English explanations. When you scan a report:
- The report image or text is sent to Anthropic's API for processing
- Anthropic processes the content to generate your explanation
- The processed result is returned to your device
- ClearReport does not retain a copy of your report after the explanation is generated
Anthropic's use of data submitted through their API is governed by their own Privacy Policy and API usage policies. Anthropic does not use API-submitted data to train their models. You can review Anthropic's privacy practices at anthropic.com/privacy.
Data Storage & Security
Your scan history and report explanations are stored locally on your device only, using iOS secure storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect the limited data we do handle, including encrypted API communications and secure coding practices.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Third Parties
ClearReport works with a small number of trusted third-party services:
- Anthropic: AI processing of your medical reports. See their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
- Apple: App distribution, payment processing, and crash reporting. See Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/privacy.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and validation. RevenueCat receives anonymised subscription status data but not your health information. See their privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
We do not integrate advertising networks, social media trackers, or data brokers into ClearReport.
Children's Privacy
ClearReport is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at clearreportapp@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. As an Indian company, we comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 and applicable data protection regulations.
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Withdraw consent to processing where consent is the basis
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India
Since we collect minimal personal data and store your health data only on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by deleting the ClearReport App from your iPhone. This permanently removes all locally stored scan history and explanations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
Your continued use of ClearReport after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
